Celtic’s 2019/20 season became another historic chapter in the club’s story as they completed an incredible domestic treble. They lifted the Scottish Premiership, League Cup and Scottish Cup, completing a remarkable fourth consecutive domestic treble. The third shirt is certainly one of Celtic’s more adventurous designs. It uses a light grey base, with a large berry-coloured chevron sweeping across the lower front of the shirt. The Celtic crest, New Balance logo and Dafabet sponsor are all picked out in the same berry shade, while the V-neck and sleeve detailing continue the colour combination. The design also had a historical connection, taking inspiration from a chevron-style Celtic shirt worn around a century earlier.
The Celtic 2019/20 Third Shirt is a great collector’s piece from the final season of Celtic’s New Balance partnership. Its unusual grey-and-berry colour scheme makes it instantly recognisable, while its association with the club’s fourth domestic treble gives it plenty of significance beyond the eye-catching design.
