Dunfermline Athletic’s 2008/09 campaign saw the Pars finish third in the Scottish First Division, with Andy Kirk leading the scoring charts and becoming one of the standout players of the season. Kirk arrived from Yeovil Town and quickly made an impact, scoring twice in a 2-1 win over Queen of the South before helping Dunfermline to a memorable 3-0 victory away at promotion favourites St Johnstone.

The season also brought a Scottish Cup run all the way to the semi-finals, where Dunfermline faced Falkirk at Hampden Park in April 2009. The Pars were beaten 2-0, but reaching the last four provided one of the major highlights of the campaign. Dunfermline ultimately collected 51 points to finish third, while Kirk ended the season as the club’s leading scorer.

This Puma home shirt marked a return to Dunfermline’s familiar black-and-white stripes, with a distinctive twist through the red-and-white sleeves and red detailing. The Puma branding sits alongside the Dunfermline crest, while The Purvis Group appears as the main sponsor across the front. A great example of the Pars’ traditional colours from the late 2000s, this Large is an especially appealing piece for collectors of Scottish football shirts.
